What Is Pan Dulce?
Pan dulce translates to "sweet bread" and encompasses dozens of varieties. A single bakery might offer 20 or more types on any given morning.
Popular Varieties
- Conchas — Soft rolls topped with a crunchy sugar shell. The most iconic pan dulce.
- Cuernos — Crescent-shaped pastries, light and flaky.
- Orejas — Elephant ears made from caramelized puff pastry.
